Lume ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile app for discovering and sharing scenic places. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, password (stored encrypted), and any name, username, bio, or profile photo you choose to provide.
Content you create. When you post a spot, photo, video, caption, comment, or reaction, we store that content along with the time it was created and your user ID.
Location information. With your permission, we collect your device's location to show scenic spots near you and to attach location to posts you choose to share. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time. Posts can be made without location.
Usage information. We collect basic information about how you use the app — for example, which screens you open and which actions you take — to identify bugs and improve the experience.
Device information. We collect standard device identifiers, operating system version, and app version to support and improve the app.
Usage & analytics We record how you use Lume, such as which spots you view, save, share, mark as visited, or get directions to. This is linked to your account and helps us improve recommendations and the app.
Home area We use your device location to determine your home county. We store the county, not your exact home address.
Aggregated reports We create weekly reports that summarize activity by county, such as how many people viewed or visited spots in an area. These reports are aggregated and do not identify individual users. We may share these aggregated reports with partners such as local tourism organizations.
